Name: Roy Alistar
Alias:"Handyman"
Age: 22 1/2
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Faction: Survivor
Role: Mechanic/Weapons Dealer
Location: Starlight Drive-Thru.
Physical Description: Gunmetal Grey eyes, shaggy black hair, goatee with a bit of scruff, and a trio of claw mark scars over his right eye from a Raider attack. Slender yet muscular build, like that of a typical anime character, about 5' 9" in height. Typical weight without his tools is 135lbs. Often wears an ensemble similar to Sturges: white T-shirt, overalls with plenty of pockets, and heavy army boots. Often wears heavy welding gloves, but wears smaller black gloves underneath for working with smaller items or guns. Often seen with his custom-made goggles, equipped with many interchangeable lens for aiming, forging, etc. and a yellow pencil behind his ear.
Personality: Normally cheerful, slight short temper in regards to Raiders/Gunners. Can be a bit snarky when it comes to business, becomes more serious when it comes to Ferals/Super Mutants.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Likes: Nuka Cola Cherry (big fan of the flavor, despite the Rads), Stargazing, Building Weapons and other mechanical items, often tries new recipes for Commonwealth cuisine
Dislikes: Raiders/Gunners for a personal reason, severe phobia of Radscorpions/Stingwings due to their barbed tails, hates being short on supplies when building
Strengths: Good at fixing weapons and anything else mechanical, fairly decent at cooking, surprisingly strong for his size
Weaknesses: Easy to anger when it comes to Raiders/Gunners, often rambles on when it comes to weapons and their statistics
History and Background: A young man who grew up in Diamond City with a knack for technology, Roy became entranced with the idea of a world outside of the great walls of Diamond City and decided to try and make a name for himself out in the Commonwealth at the age of 16. Often coming home to his mother, father, and sister in tattered clothing and splattered in blood other than his own, Roy managed to help his family move up to the Upper Districts by becoming a Wandering Mercenary for those who couldn't defend themselves. That is, until the attack on Diamond City where a Raider wielding a Deathclaw Gauntlet cut down his family. However, after fending them off with a modified Power Armor arm and a sledgehammer, Roy was left with no family and a stinging three-clawed reminder on his face on how nasty the Commonwealth could be. Since then, he traveled out into the Commonwealth and tried to set up a new home for himself outside the Diamond City walls, hoping he could build something that could turn the tide against the Raider 'infestation' that is slowly taking over the Commonwealth.
Arsenal:His most modified weapon in terms of ranged weaponry is his recoil-compensated, suppressed, recon-scoped, bolt-action pipe sniper rifle he calls "The Firefly" on account of the hand-crafted explosive bullets he loads into the clip. Other than that, a typical suppressed handgun at his hip. For more up close and personal, a Curved Ripper is often stashed under his workbench. However, if push comes to shove, the modified Power Armor arm and its Stunning Super Slege he pried from a Super Mutant is always within arm's reach of the Mechanic
Equipment: Aside from his customized weaponry, he often carries a myriad of tools within the pockets of his overalls that range from screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and hammers. Around his neck and often tucked into his shirt, he has a silver necklace that holds a faded and slightly singed picture of his family before the attack. In one of his cargo pockets, he carries a notebook where he could keep tabs on those who owe him caps or routes he sends his provision bots on, as well as various other notes on what he needs or what needs to be built or fixed.
Roleplay Example: A gloved hand reached over to slowly turn the knob on the radio, turning up the volume on Elton Britt's Uranium Fever as the young mechanic was hard at work at his workbench. The young male smiled and started to sing along with the iconic Commonwealth song as he looked over the handgun he was working on while he reached up to lower the goggles he used whenever he was working on something intricate. Several gears turned on the sides of the goggles, bringing up a set of lens in front of his eyes as he brought the welding torch up to weld the suppressor barrel onto the end of the barrel of the handgun. As the song finished and he held up the weapon for inspection, he became aware of the bellhop bell at the front of his makeshift store ringing almost impatiently as he rolled his eyes slowly. He then set the gun down on the workbench and grabbed the Nuka Cola Cherry sitting nearby as he made his way towards the front of his store. "I hear ya, I hear ya~! Keep your shirt on, all right? Unless you got a pack of Ferals breathing down your neck, you can afford to take some time to wait until I finish my work..."
Extras: If you happen to notice a mechanical entity that has a 'brand' of a face with gear-shaped goggles on it either on its shoulder plates or on its body, please DO NOT DESTROY IT. That's one of the provisionary bots made by Roy, often armed to the teeth with weapons or handling rather important supplies for a settlement nearby. Talk to them and see if you can do some business with them or have them direct you to the weapons vendor-slash-mechanic. Roy also hates to be rushed or have his height commented on, for he knows he is short and he knows that he takes his time on weapons. One of his major goals is to make the perfect robotic companion to help those who cannot protect themselves, so every little bit helps in funding his goals.
Player Name: Cameron.
Age 25
Roleplay Experience: I've been roleplaying on and off for several years, often going to chat sites or on Facebook groups. Not saying I'm perfect, but I'm certainly not a greenhorn when it comes to roleplaying. I have some literary experience due to my father being an author and both parents have a passion for reading, so I know how to weave details and stories together well.
How you found out our forum: I was patrolling the seas of Chatango, trying to find a roleplay partner for a Fallout 4 themed roleplay. Lo and behold, I happened to find one of the representatives of the board and the rest is history. ^^
